Note from the Editor:  Do you remember back in the stone age when Google glasses were all the rage..for about a minute? But hey, what consumers found creepy and invasive then is clearly in the past as tech giants furiously work to be the first to bring a whole new iteration to market.   Both META and Snap have both come out this month with beta prototypes of  AR glasses that use a combination of AI and AR to make these glasses the next  “must-have” for 2025/2026. These are AR glasses that could finally deliver on the promises devices like Magic Leap, or HoloLens, or even Google Glass, made many years ago. These fifth-generation Spectacles can display visual information and applications directly on their see-through lenses, making objects appear as if they are in the real world. The interface is powered by the company’s new operating system, Snap OS. Unlike typical VR headsets or spatial computing devices, these augmented-reality (AR) lenses don’t obscure your vision and re-create it with cameras.
